Transfer to Wanaka for our 4WD adventure which showcases spectacular lakeside scenery plus a fascinating journey through a genuine High Country farm. Viewing jaw-dropping mountain-top scenery, we will get a unique insight into Wanaka’s rich history, heritage and scenery. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon visiting some of Central Otago’s best vineyards, where we will sample some of the best food and wine the region has to offer.
This evening we ride the Gondola up to enjoy dinner accompanied by the most spectacular views of stunning Queenstown below.

Today will be a highlight for all! We board a charter aircraft for a scenic flight over Milford Sound^, New Zealand’s most stunning natural attraction. Landing in Te Anau the adventure continues, as we board the elegant and historic sailing ship ‘Faith’. Exploring Lake Te Anau and Fiordland National Park, we will take in some of New Zealand’s most beautiful sights.

An unforgettable visit to Milford Sound today as we marvel at the beauty of this pristine scenic destination. Located within Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, we will be awed by towering Mitre Peak, lush rainforests and sparkling waterfalls.

We go underground this morning to experience the mysterious world of the luminous and astonishingly beautiful glowworms. Cruise into a silent grotto inhabited by thousands of glowworms, unique to New Zealand. After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to Queenstown and check-in to the award-winning luxury of Millbrook Resort, a remarkable property set on 650 spectacular acres. Nestled within the Southern Alps, Millbrook is framed by The Remarkables mountain range, set among rolling hills and gentle streams, an iconic property in every sense.

Visit Arrowtown today, a historic gold mining town. In Queenstown, relax and enjoy a breathtaking cruise on Lake Wakatipu. Renowned for its scenic beauty, Lake Wakatipu is surrounded by spectacular snow-capped mountains where The Remarkables lie along its south-eastern edge.
Take in this spectacular alpine scenery during a cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard the iconic century-old coal-fired steamship, the TSS Earnslaw, which has been lovingly maintained since 1912, an iconic piece of Queenstown’s history.
Take time to explore the vessel, view the engine room, and study the historic displays of the steamship’s former life in the onboard mini museum. Cruise across the lake, past the Remarkables mountain range and Cecil Peak, to Walter Peak High Country Farm. We will enjoy a delicious lunch lakeside at the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant, its colonial architecture and sweeping grounds evoking the elegance of a bygone era. Following lunch, see the farm dogs at work with a sheep-herding demonstration.
Cruise back across the lake to enjoy time to explore the beautiful town of Queenstown. Tonight we gather for our farewell dinner at Millbrook Resort.

Level of Fitness Required – Moderate
This journey is more challenging and designed for the more active traveller who is looking to venture off the beaten path. To fully participate in all activities, the traveller must be able to walk up to 1km on even surfaces unaided, travel by four-wheel drive vehicles along ungraded roads and walk up steps unassisted. It is a requirement that all children are able to swim confidently.
We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
