Arrive at Sydney Airport, where our commercial flight to Norfolk Island awaits. After a short flight, arrive at historic Norfolk Island and check into our hotel, Governor’s Lodge. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by your Journey Director.
Overnight: Governor’s Lodge
Take an introductory tour of Norfolk Island this morning where we will take in an overview about the Island’s geography, history, culture and attractions with a delicious Devonshire Tea on the way. Enjoy a tasting and lunch today at Two Chimneys Wines, Norfolk Island’s first and only winery. This evening, we transfer to the stunning turquoise views of Emily Bay+ for our BBQ dinner. Following dinner, we will have a magical and enchanting experience under the stars with ‘Wonderland by Night’! As you walk through a wooded Norfolk Forest, thousands of fairy lights arch overhead, illuminating towering Norfolk Pines and creating a truly fairy-tale-like atmosphere as we celebrate the rich history and stories of Norfolk Island with Christmas cheer!

Board a glass bottom boat cruise this morning to explore the breathtaking azure lagoon, revealing beautiful coral gardens and tropical fish in the world’s second southernmost coral reef.
Following lunch, we hear captivating stories about significant identities who have called Norfolk Island home and who have played a pivotal role in shaping the island and its history including Olivia Gascoigne and Colleen McCullough. Walk in the footsteps of these extraordinary people who have triumphed over adversity and significantly shaped the Norfolk community.

Today you will spend a relaxing Christmas Day with new friends. For those clients wishing to attend church services, there will be the opportunity to do so at All Saints Church, Kingston. Then you will enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch at the hotel restaurant with all your favourites and some island specialties also. After lunch, either enjoy the relaxing ambiance of the hotel or join the Journey Director for a stroll.

This morning take an in-depth tour of the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area (KAVHA) on Norfolk Island and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this World Heritage Listed Georgian settlement. Here we’ll discover the stories behind the colonial headstones in the cemetery and the beautiful historic houses on Quality Row. Learn about the first Polynesian settlers who arrived on the island 900 years ago and gain further insight into the First and Second British settlements.
Next, we have an immersion in Norfolk Island’s rich cultural heritage while viewing traditional weaving techniques and a cooking demonstration. Indulge in a taste of some of Norfolk’s traditional dishes and learn about Tahitian Island dancing. Our farewell dinner this evening will be a unique island experience as we enjoy a progressive dinner, the perfect way to get a taste of the real Norfolk lifestyle.

Visit Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama, an incredible 360° panoramic painting, a truly unique way to experience the history of the Bounty adventures. Following lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight to Sydney, where we say farewell to new friends and take away memories of an idyllic island Sojourn.

Flights from your home port to Sydney are not included in the journey price. Should you require flights to and from Sydney, we can provide a competitive quote on airfares and pre and post-tour accommodation in Sydney, at the commencement and conclusion of your journey.
Level of Fitness Required – Easy Going
These journeys are not physically demanding unless you want them to be. They include easy-paced walks, which are on mainly flat ground. You must be able to walk up to 1 kilometre unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. Participants will be required to walk up steps and inclines. For all clients to full enjoy this travel experience, good health and mobility is required by all.
We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
