Flying to the Dampier Peninsula, we see the Horizontal Waterfalls, described by Sir David Attenborough as ‘the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.’ Marvel at the breathtaking turquoise of the Buccaneer Archipelago and rugged Cape Leveque from above, cruise the “giant tides” of the Kimberley and learn about the fascinating pearling industry at Cygnet Bay. Day 1: Arrive Perth

Transfer from Perth Airport to the luxurious Duxton Hotel in the heart of the city. Your welcome dinner will be hosted by your Journey Director this evening.

Day 2: Perth to Broome

An orientation tour of vibrant Perth will visit Elizabeth Quay and the Bell Tower including the ANZAC Bell. Kings Park, one of the world’s largest and most beautiful inner city parks will also feature in our city touring today. The Perth Mint Gold Tour will mesmerise us before flying to the historic pearling port of Broome on the breathtaking Kimberley coast. Transfer from the airport and check-in to our home for the next four nights, the award-winning Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa overlooking the sweeping and iconic white sand of Cable Beach.

Day 3: Broome

Tour the celebrated town of Broome this morning taking in the Japanese Cemetery, Chinatown, Sun Pictures and the red rock cliff face of Gantheaume Point.

This afternoon, we board our relaxing Broome sunset dinner cruise to view the famous Staircase to the Moon.^

Day 4: Cygnet Bay

A day you will never forget sees us flying from Broome across the Dampier Peninsula to view the Horizontal Waterfalls, described by Sir David Attenborough as ‘the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.’ Fly across the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago, home to 1,000 islands and the most sublimely beautiful Kimberley sights you will see. Fly over Koolan and Cockatoo Island, home to the world’s richest iron ore deposits and King Sound, home to Australia’s largest tides.

Explore the ‘Giant Tides’ of the spectacular Kimberley Coast by boat before arriving at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm where we enjoy a Pearl Discovery Tour and learn about the cultivation of some of the most sought- after and beautiful pearls in the world. Our coastal return flight will take in the stunning red cliffs at Cape Leveque and breathtaking views of Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek Pearl Farm and Broome’s world-famous Cable Beach.

Day 5: Broome

This morning, soak in the ambiance of beautiful Broome. For true relaxation, wander the grand expanse of the famous white sandy Cable Beach and enjoy the facilities of this magnificently located resort. For those who would like to explore Broome further, a hop-on / hop-off bus service will be available followed by an afternoon at leisure. Enjoy drinks on the sundeck as we view a spectacular sunset to remember.

Day 6: Broome - Perth

Enjoy billy tea and a cultural discovery this morning as we learn about the bush foods and medicine plants of the Nyul Nyul people before boarding our flight back to Perth.

Day 7: Rottnest Island

This morning we ferry across to Rottnest Island, an A-class nature reserve, marine sanctuary and home to the Quokka. A place of remarkable history, it is an “Emerald Isle in a Sea of Sapphire”. Discover the amazing fauna and flora of the island, stunning beaches, woodlands and incredible salt lakes before returning to Perth via stunning Cottesloe Beach and Millionaire’s Row in up-market Claremont. Tonight’s farewell dinner is at Firewater Grille.

Day 8: Depart Perth

After breakfast, transfer to Perth Airport. Saying farewell to new friends, we take away memories of a wonderful western Sojourn.

Level of Fitness Required – Easy Going

These journeys are not physically demanding unless you want them to be. They include easy guided walks, which are mainly on flat ground. There will be times when you are required to board a launch for shore excursions. You must be able to walk up to 1 kilometre unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. For all clients to fully enjoy this travel experience, excellent health and mobility is required by all.

We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
